How else are you gonna find that special someone huh?

There is no specific shape or form for Dopaline courtship, thus having created the widespread assumption that how one Dop tries to romance another is entirely based on their own personality and who they are.

Some may show affection through gifting such as giving their lover sweet treats at Galonrhoi or buy 'em a Sparxynx for their birthday.

Others may be more of the type to show affection through their actions towards them, like trying their best to make sure that they're alright, wanting to hold their hand or other embracing actions or even just reminding them that they enjoy spending time with them. Or perhaps they try and woo their crush with a dance or send them love letters in the mail!

It's not even that uncommon for some dops to try their hand at serenading them with a song or two! Or trying to impress them with their magical talent!

The Trade-Off Effect

Now, the Trade-Off as it's known is a strange reaction that occurs in dopalines during intimate contact with those that they are very fond of, even if they deny it profusely to friends! Even a good snuggle could lead to the Trade-off happening to the dops involved.

Why this does occur is still a mystery to many, but we do have at least an understanding of the symptoms!

And with that, here are some tell tale signs for if you or one of your pals has the Trade Off:

Their body having patches of their other's base and potentially markings on their own pelt.
Splodgy marks of their other's gear colour on their own.
If either Dop knows magic, they may gain their magical prowess however it's temporary, weaker and more volatile.

Thankfully for those involved, it only seems to last for a little while, well, not always. It's rather unpredictable, and can last anywhere from 5 minutes, to 5 hours, to 5 days!
