Glisects

Small and insectoid dops that glide through the treetops, these crawlies aren't all that creepy!

MYO Colouring

Like all subspecies, Glisect MYOs firstly use a different bunch of palettes compared to Standards. So you cannot have a Glisect using the standard MYO palettes and such.

However this is overruled when it comes to using special palettes such as the Hallowrise Palettes or the Early Bird Palettes. Those are usable with any MYO no matter what species.

Anatomy

When it comes to anatomy, Glisects have 5 main features that set themselves apart from the other Species of Dopaline.

  • Their small size, rivalling dillodins.

  • The membranes that allow them to glide from tree to tree.

  • Their darkly coloured sclera.

  • Their fluffy antennae, similar to a moth's!

  • Their clawed paws that help them cling to trees!

Alongside these features, which if you must know will stick with them their entire lives, there are also some more minor traits that they typically have from birth.

  • Swift Spines

  • Merciful Mandibles

  • Lizardly Tail

  • All Fur Upgrades

A Brief History of the Subspecies

Glisects come from the same area of The Bound as Terrorhowls, Kovalcre. These two subspecies have had a centuries long rivalry, as Glisects would often steal food from the Terrorhowls and return to the trees out of reach, while Terrorhowls regarded them as pests and tried to cull the local population.

Whether or not this rivalry remains depends on who you ask, but it seems recently Glisects have been branching out a bit, pun intended! Maybe you might see one around?

There's a famous fable about a Glisect and the Terrorhowl tasked with killing them. Their forbidden romance is seen as a cautionary tale by some, and a sign that love can happen in the weirdest of places by others!
